CELEBRATING RAKSHA BANDHAN WITH – HOME MADE KALAKAND

Indian occasions without sweets are incomplete. Ever given a thought that sweets for Rakhi can be given a twist with savouries which are not only unique for an occasion like Rakshabandhan but also delicious enough to be relished with delight?

As the name suggests, Raksha Bandhan is the celebration of the unsaid promise that every brother makes to his sister, to stand by her and protect her through all the hurdles of life. It’s the promise to cherish the good times and fight against all odds with togetherness. Its that part of the year when our televisions are filled with the advertisements of chocolates and greetings cards.

It is that day of the year when walking down a lane on a typical Indian street will leave you swung to the aromas of amazing Indian savouries being cooked in every house.

So As the RAKSHA BANDHAN is approaching, I’m sharing A Very Healthy and Tasty Recipe of KALAKAND.

KALAKAND

INGREDIENTS
Milk
Vinegar
Sugar
Cardamom powder
Khoya (condensed milk)

METHOD
Boil milk in a vessel and add vinegar to make milk curdle.
And boil it to thicken it consistency. After water reduction add sugar, cardamom powder and
Khoya to it.
Then take it on a tray and spread it on a tray and put it in chiller to cool down. It can be served both hot as well as cold.
